Black History in the Making…

Happy Black History Month brothas and sistas! ✊?✌?️

I hope these past couple of weeks have been filled with wisdom of your past that is redirecting your future!

Can I vent for a second? Ok here it goes. I am tired of seeing Martin Luther King Jr., Harriet Tubman, and Malcom X pictures dressing my timelines ERRRY YEAR!  Don’t get me wrong, I’m appreciative of their contriburtion to the history of black folks; but uhhh, are these the only folk ya’ll look up to? Do ya’ll not know how to Google? There ain’t one person in your family, church, and/or peer group that is black and has made history in some way?  No shade, I’m just asking…

Whew.. I had to get that off my chest.

This year, I made a conscience effort to recognize my peers who are making history–BLACK history that is. These individuals have channeled the strength and creativeness that only our ancestors had. Seperatley, they are beginning a movement that will inspire and motivate their peers, family, and ultimately the entire world! Their sacrifice and love for their craft is so inspiring and uplifting, I had to take time to share it with you all!

Over the next few days, you will be hearing from the ones I am blessed to call my friends!

Enjoy,
